The Christmas Carol Presented by Hampstead Players

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

All children in grades 4 and up are invited to this special production on Thursday, December 4 at 6:30pm in the Hubbard Room at Russell Library, 123 Broad Street, Middletown.  Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” is a story that is both timeless and universal. It is the delightful tale of the miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, and his clerk, Bob Cratchit. Through visits from the spirits of the season, Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas. In this charming tale, Hampstead Players hope to educate the students about the class system of Victorian England and encourage them to help others that are less fortunate than they are.

No registration is required. However, seating is limited and guests will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is funded by the Friends of the Russell Library.

Children ages 6 - 12 are invited to join the Builders’ Club 4-5:30pm on Fridays (see dates above), in the Activity Room.  Join us for afternoons of building with the bricks we all know and love.  Come build with your favorite interlocking blocks!  Each week we will have a challenge, and if you’re lucky, your creation will be chosen to be displayed in our glass case.  And don’t forget, we take donations!  If you know anyone who has outgrown their Lego Bricks, we will take them.  Due to the small pieces utilized, we ask that only those children 6 – 12 years of age be actively involved in the program and that they stay and help put pieces away.  Perhaps your “littles” would enjoy our newly reopened Parenting Room.
