Friends of the Library - Book Sales

Bag Sale

The Friends of Russell Library will hold a bag book sale on

  • Friday, September 10, 2010 (9am-6pm),
  • Saturday, September 11, 2010 (9am-5pm), and
  • Monday, September 13, 2010 (9am-8:30pm)

during regular library hours in the Activity Room at Russell Library, 123 Broad Street, Middletown.  The prices are as follows: $3 per bag on Friday, $2 per bag on Saturday and $1 per bag on Monday.  The sale includes used books published before 1990, VHS format movies, books on tape, music cassettes and CDs.

Holiday Book Sale

The Friends’ Annual Holiday Book Sale will be held on
Old Books

  • Friday, December 10, 2010 (9am-6pm),
  • Saturday, December 11, 2010 (9am-5pm), and
  • Monday, December 13, 2010 (9am-8:30pm)

The sale will be held in the Children’s Activity Room.  They will be selling their best, most recent novels and books on a wide range of subjects such as art, sports, cooking, travel, fashions, and photography.  Also included are Collectibles - older and vintage books priced to sell at $2+. All items are great bargains and in excellent condition.

Lobby Book Sale

You can browse through hundreds of books every day in the Friends of Russell Library lobby book sale! Be sure you check the shelves every time you come to the library, because the selection of used books changes regularly. All of the proceeds from this and all other Friends book sale go toward special projects at the Russell Library. Funding for the children's Summer Reading Club, beautiful landscaping and special programming are just a few of these projects. Thanks for your continuing support.
